The Project

Trinity Square lies in the heart of Gateshead and is a contemporary shopping and leisure centre with plenty of entertainment, eateries and retail opportunities.

With this complex, there is a Vue cinema that, over 9, cutting-edge screens, shows a range of films with something for all ages. Among these screens, 3 offer a 3D experience and one is a VueXtreme Screen- a larger, higher quality screen for audiences who want to submerge themselves in the action. The cinema has over 1320 seats which is ideal for larger groups or busy days in town. Escape the hustle and bustle to sit back and immerse yourself in the cinematic world. Not only does Vue Trinity Square boast high-definition screens, but also an excellent sound experience, emphasised by prime acoustic isolation provided by Farrat.

Key value we brought to the project

Farrat partnered with main contractor Bowmer and Kirkland to produce an acoustic isolation solution for the cinema. We refined our CineFLOOR PRO range and installed a floating floor to the cinema to guarantee no sound transmission around the cinema. The CineFLOOR PRO range uses self-compacting concrete creating a flat surface for vinyl or carpet to be laid directly on top of it. Overall, our products and installation aided the Vue cinema to achieve optimal acoustic isolation.
