The Challenge
Cinemas require exceptional acoustic control to ensure a fully immersive viewing experience while preventing sound transfer between screens and into the wider building.
For this project, the key challenges included:
- Controlling structure-borne vibration and noise generated by audio systems
- Preventing sound transmission between auditoriums
- Ensuring complete isolation of seating structures
- Integrating high-performance acoustic solutions without compromising design or space
The Solution
Farrat delivered a complete acoustic isolation solution, designing and supplying systems for both wall and structural isolation. CineWALL LITE / PRO was engineered with isolation at key connection points within the wall structure, providing effective separation between screens and reducing airborne and structure-borne noise. In addition, CineSTEEL PRO acoustic pads were used to fully de-couple seating structures across all nine auditoriums, minimising low-frequency vibration, improving sound clarity, and preventing vibration transfer to surrounding areas.
