What’s your purpose as our Engineering Project Manager?

The EPM plays a pivotal role in the effective allocation of team resources and the continuous monitoring of project deliverables progress. This position involves overseeing the engineering team’s workload using specialized team management software to identify and proactively address any resource bottlenecks. The EPM is instrumental in optimizing engineers’ efficiency and output, while consistently striving to achieve meaningful engineering OTIF (on time in full) targets.


Key Responsibilities of our Engineering Project Manager:

  • Efficiently manage team resources, including handling holiday requests and mitigating bottlenecks.
  • Create and maintain on-time and complete project delivery measures.
  • Provide strategic advice at the project’s inception stage to achieve client’s design objectives.
  • Oversee project design governance and processes using tools like Farrat and Teamwork.
  • Prepare and maintain design schedules, manage resource plans, and attend client meetings to monitor progress and address design risks.
  • Collaborate closely with the Applications Engineering Manager to align technical deliverables with project scope.
  • Keep Project Managers informed of design updates and changes to project timelines.
  • Work with the Applications Engineering Manager to determine resource requirements and milestones.
  • Contribute to process improvements for better visibility across departments.
  • Actively support Farrat’s vision and values, demonstrating these values in all interactions with stakeholders.
  • Farrat Vision & Values: Contribute to Farrat’s vision, mission, and values.

 

Experience & Qualities to be a Farrat-astic Engineering Project Manager:

  • Minimum of 3+ years in a similar role successfully managing engineering projects as an action taker.
  • Possess a strong engineering background, coupled with a genuine passion and understanding of the engineering field that can effectively translate engineering concepts into project management strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Expertise in defining and maintaining project requirements
  • Proven ability to establish comprehensive success criteria
  • Proficient in scheduling and design project planning
  • Effective resource management and oversight
  • Performance management and quality assurance
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement and communication
  • Proficiency in Identifying and mitigating project risks
  • Exceptional Interpersonal communication skills.

What’s your purpose as our Logistics Coordinator?

The Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of supply chain and logistics activities within Farrat. Their primary purpose is to ensure that goods, materials, and products move smoothly from the point of origin to their final destination while optimising various aspects of the process. The role is essential in meeting customer demands, maintaining cost efficiency, and ensuring compliance with various regulations in the logistics industry.


Key Responsibilities of our Logistics Coordinator:

  • Organising the timely collection and shipping of customers orders
  • Monitoring the performance of carriers and haulage companies
  • Organising the correct paperwork
  • Building relationships with carriers and haulage companies to ensure excellent performance
  • Assisting with the co-ordination of the logistics (in-bound and out-bound) for all off-site storage, including organising transportation and correct storage

 

Experience & Qualities to be a Farrat-astic Logistics Coordinator:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
  • Capable user of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
