What was the project?

Lane 7 Berlin is a modern leisure destination featuring a 9-lane bowling alley designed to deliver a high-quality entertainment experience within a constrained construction environment. The project required a flooring solution that could meet strict acoustic performance standards while working within very limited available build-up depth.

The Challenge

The key challenge on the Lane 7 project was the restricted floor depth available for installing an acoustic floating floor system. Bowling alleys generate significant impact and structure-borne noise, making effective vibration isolation critical, especially in urban or multi-use buildings.

The solution needed to be:

  • Compact in construction depth
  • Lightweight to suit structural limitations
  • High performing in acoustic and vibration control

The Solution

Farrat designed and supplied its specialist BowlFLOOR PRO system to meet the project’s demands.

BowlFLOOR PRO was selected specifically because it combines:

  • Minimal system depth, enabling installation within tight constraints
  • Lightweight construction, reducing load on the building structure
  • High acoustic performance, ensuring effective vibration isolation and noise control

By tailoring the solution to the project’s limitations, Farrat ensured that performance was not compromised despite spatial constraints.
