Vidam is a general purpose anti vibration and equipment mounting material used in industrial and building services applications for its good all round anti-vibration and chemical resistance characteristics.
A high performance general purpose anti vibration material manufactured from Nitrile Rubber and cork used globally in a very wide range of industrial equipment and machine mounting applications as well as in building services.
- Load range: up to 1.0 N/mm² (SLS)
- Vertical Natural Frequency: down to 14Hz
- Average Damping Ratio ζ: 12%
Why choose Farrat Vidam?
- A high quality nitrile rubber / granulated cork composite material
- Excellent chemical resistance including oils, grease, cleansing agents
- Stable under a wide range of atmospheric conditions and is suitable for use outdoors
- Low Poisson’s Ratio / limited bulging due to presence of cork (although the cork means it will creep more than pure rubber materials such as Isomat and BR).
- Free of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH), Heavy Metals (Pb, Cd, Hg and Cr (VI)) and Asbestos
- Complies with R0HS and ELV 2000/53/EC European Directives
- Working temperature range: -25ºC to +120ºC
- Standard Sheet Size: 1000 x 1000mm
- Easy to cut into strips and pads
- Isolated Foundations for Bodymakers and Power Presses
- Top strips within Isomat Isolated Foundations for Impact Machinery
- Heating, Ventilating and Refrigeration Equipment (AHUs, CHRVs, Chillers etc.)
- Transformers
- Lifts and Escalator Connections
- Conveyors
- Gen Sets
- Pumps & Compressors
- Oil & Gas
- Offshore, Ships & Shipbuilding
- Modular Accommodation / Pods
- General Machinery AV Pads
Note: these applications are a guide based on typical examples that we see regularly. The ideal material will depend on the specific characteristics and constraints of your application.
