What’s your purpose as our Business Development Manager?

As the Business Development Manager at Farrat, you’ll spearhead our Structural Thermal Breaks value stream, driving towards our ambitious strategic objectives. Collaborating closely with Project Management, Engineering, and the Sales Team, your mission will be to exceed sales targets and foster margin growth. You’ll represent Farrat in the marketplace, leveraging your insights to fuel innovation and champion our brand. Your role as a brand ambassador will entail cultivating our reputation for engineering excellence and unparalleled customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities of our Business Development Manager:

Business Development:

  • Devise a growth strategy focused on both financial gain and expanding the Structural Thermal Breaks market share.
  • Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to pinpoint emerging markets and customer needs.
  • Build and manage relationships with existing customers, key accounts and new clients, implementing effective strategies to meet service goals and foster future engagement.
  • Represent Farrat’s product range, conduct research to enhance offerings, and explore cross-selling opportunities with peers while addressing and anticipating client objectives establishing ourselves as a trusted advisor and partner for our clients.
  • Offer reliable feedback and post-sales support.

Strategic Growth:

  • Understand clients’ business challenges and develop customised solutions.
  • Drive sales by prioritising inquiries, maintaining a high-performance CRM, and converting opportunities into profitable orders.
  • Provide technical support and contribute to pricing decisions.
  • Stay updated on market trends and project-specific dynamics, analyse data to inform decision-making, and contribute to marketing efforts in the sector.
  • Marketing Support: Contribute to marketing strategies and provide input on sales content and materials.

 

Experience & Qualities to be a Farrat-astic Business Development Manager:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Business Development Manager (ideally in an SME)
  • B2B technical sales experience in the engineering/construction sectors
  • Experience of managing complex sales
  • Proven track record of building relationships enabling to sell to multiple stakeholders
  • A proven track record of managing multiple and varied prospects of varying type, size and complexity
  • Proven success in managing sales and pipeline proactivelyGood presentation and communication skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to analyse markets and projects and identify where there is opportunity
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrable problem solving and analytical abilities
  • Highly self-motivated and resilient
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude
  • Competent in IT applications.

  • Ensuring the successful execution and delivery of acoustic and vibration isolation design projects, aligned with project requirements and timelines.
