1. Enabling buildings and rail to be entwined for maximum benefit to people living and working without their health being affected by ground-borne vibration and structure-borne noise.
2. Enabling 24/7 factories, warehouses and industrial buildings to be constructed in or close to urban areas.
3. Facilitating the re-use of structures including retrofitting and extensions.
4. Facilitating well-designed, multi-purpose buildings with no wasted space, e.g. with noisy areas adjacent to quiet areas to give maximum return on investment for the developer and a richer experience for users, e.g. ensuring a fully immersive experience at the cinema, theatre, concert hall, lecture theatre, classroom, medical facility etc without being disturbed by noise and vibration from outside or other parts of the building as well as enabling nightclubs, concerts/gigs, bowling alleys, cinemas and rehearsal spaces etc to not compromise by having to turn noise levels down in order not to disturb neighbours.
5. Ensuring thermal/cold bridges do not lead to heat loss, condensation and mould.
6. Enabling longer, larger cantilevered balconies that aren’t affected by structural dynamics ‘bounce’ issues.

Our long terms goals extend beyond individual project challenges as we are investing heavily into R&D and actively helping the construction industry achieve its net-zero ambitions by using our knowledge of vibro-acoustic control and thermal bridging to facilitate modern methods of construction including progression to new, lighter structures which historically have been affected by vibration and heat loss.
