This week we’ve released a limited edition ‘Thermal Bridging and Structural Thermal Breaks CPD module, in association with The Institute of Structural Engineers (IStructE).
The tailored Farrat CPD module covers the use of Structural Thermal Breaks to reduce energy transfer and loss between structurally loaded building details and is designed to aid Structural Engineers develop the new specialist knowledge required for thermal break specification & integration.
Available to complete until the end of August 2021, this module is worth 1-hour of certified CPD credits.
Participants will receive an IStructE CPD certification upon completion of the module.
“Understanding the role that structural thermal breaks play in reducing thermal bridging is essential in a time where building designers are looking to reduce the impact of buildings on the environment by reducing energy waste,” says Chris Lister, Commercial Manager of Structural Thermal Breaks at Farrat.
“Accredited CPD in the subject enables Structural Engineers at all stages of their career that they are serious about working towards government targets in reducing emissions. It’s great to be working with chartered experts such as The Institute of Structural Engineers, to help provide the continual professional development that Structural Engineers need in this area.”
More info on how to integrate thermal breaks into common building connections can be found on our dedicated Structural Engineers portal here.
