2015 has been another fabulous year for Farrat. The business has grown significantly and the team has delivered numerous vibration control, thermal isolation and precision levelling solutions worldwide.
As part of its celebrations, Farrat wished to make a donation to charities that really need help at this time of year.
Farrat selected the following four charities and asked its employees to nominate which charity they would like Farrat to donate to on their behalf.
Every six seconds, somebody contacts the Samaritans. Ten times a minute, they can help someone turn their life around. £100 helps their Stockport branch stay open for 20 hours.
Christmas is a time when we celebrate with friends, neighbours and family. However, many older people face later life alone. Age UK provides companionship, advice and support for the millions who have no one to turn to.
Donations can mean the difference between a hostel and a home for a family this Christmas. Shelter’s housing advice helps millions of people – and they’re available 365 days a year, even on Christmas Day.
Provided by the NSPCC, ChildLine is a private and confidential service for children and young people up to the age of 19. ChildLine counsellors can be contacted about anything -no problem is too big or too small. Calls are free, or they can have a 1-2-1 chat online or send an email.
Oliver Farrell, Farrat’s Chief Operating Officer explained: “Farrat is committed to being a responsible, inclusive and proactive company and has allocated time and resources for philanthropic purposes linked with our community, industry and employees. Our donations and recent voluntary assistance to the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust are all part of Farrat’s on-going commitment.”
