The Project

We were tasked with developing a solution for the Barnsley Cineworld branch, part of the new and exciting leisure scheme, the Glass Works.

As part of Barnsley town’s regeneration, the city council funded a multi-million pound leisure development named the Glass Works. The project aimed to draw more attention to the town centre and transform the heart of Barnsley into a bustling and welcoming entertainment hub for all ages. The Glass Works offers a plethora of shops, restaurants and various entertainment venues like a Cineworld cinema, soundproofed with products from Farrat’s Cine ranges. Key value we brought to the project

Farrat achieved optimal acoustic isolation for the highly-anticipated cinema using products from our CineSTEEL, CineFLOOR and CineWALL ranges.

Farrat successfully soundproofed the cinema with products from our Cine range to offer an exciting and enjoyable viewing experience for all ages. We delivered our CineSTEEL PRO raked seating isolation to steelwork contractor Billington Structures and CineWALL PRO products for the drylining, while Farrat Installation Services Ltd fitted CineFLOOR PRO products under the careful watch of the project’s experienced Acoustic Technician Sharps Redmore. This ensured the acoustic isolation of the 13-screen cinema and provided a high-quality sound experience for Barnsley residents and visitors from far and wide.
