Die CineSTEEL PRO Akustikpads von Farrat wurden für die akustische Isolierung zwischen benachbarten Tonbühnen in den neuen Shinfield Studios in Reading entwickelt und eingesetzt.

The Challenge

Shinfield Studios offers film and television producers approximately 1 million sq ft of studio space, comprising of 18 purpose-built sound stages, workshop and mill space. In addition, to a contemporary office environment and post-production facility. The 1st Phase development consists of four operational sound stages, workshops and offices with more film and tv studio facilities opening on a rolling basis over the next 2 years.

The Solution

Between September 2022 and June 2023, Farrat designed and supplied CineSTEEL PRO isolation pads for several of the sound stages included in this project. Working with the design team to develop the most economical solution, the Farrat team were able to turn around a suitable design within a few days to provide a solution.

Partner Profile

Farrat partnered with Raisco Steelwork Fabrication in undertaking the Shinfield Studios project, a state of the art, purpose-built studio facility located close to Reading in Berkshire. A new powerhouse of British film, TV, production and innovation, the full 18 stage “Creative Media Hub” will be completed and ready to open by 2024.
