23 Savile Row is an outstanding new 100,000 sq ft office building located in the prestigious
Mayfair area of London. The cutting edge building features virtually column-free floors that are typically 16,500 sq ft with floor to ceiling glazed facades on three sides. Designed to represent a new standard for offices in the West End the building has already received numerous prestigious awards, including West End Development of the Year at the Office Development Awards 2009.
US hedge fund Eton Park Capital Management took the complete third floor and required a floating floor to control noise and vibration transmission from a new 54m2 gym adjacent to the office areas. The proposed gym included general fitness equipment such as treadmills, bikes, elliptical trainers and free weights and would also mean loud music being played at all times.
There were also some specific constraints relating to access into the building and the load bearing capacity of the structural floors.
